United Airlines operates an "air side" shuttle bus between Terminals A and C from 4:00AM to 12:00AM (midnight). In addition, United also operates a shuttle bus connecting Terminals A and C to terminal B (pier 3, used by Star Alliance carriers) from 1:00PM to 11:00PM, but not in the opposite direction (shuttle does not board at Terminal B). The shuttle bus is available at gate A28 and C70 as illustrated in the image above. The shuttle drops off passengers at the terminal B through the service entry, that requires walking up 2 flights of stairs - there is no elevator. Only the front bus doors will open for alighting at terminal B.This service is free and you will not have to go through TSA security again. Please note this shuttle is operated at the sole responsibility of United Airlines and is subject to modification at their discretion.

thanks for your replies, very helpful. You’re quite right, fly into Terminal C and out of Terminal B. I’m an ex AirTraffic Controller, hence using EIN instead of EI. Once again, thank you, appreciate your help.

Which flight (flight number) are you taking to RSW, and on which day of the week? Looking at the EWR-RSW flight schedules, I don't see any airline operating an 8 pm EWR-RSW flight.

It seems that for October they changed flight UA1857 from 1830 to 2000. However, this still does not explain why you think that it departs from Terminal B. Like they would know something like that so much in advance.

Wheelchair service at curb?

Hi all - apologies if this is the wrong thread but couldn’t find one dedicated to UA/EWR wheelchair questions.

Does anyone know if level 2 and 3 curbs have skycaps/wheelchairs available? And if so, what door it’s at? I fly out of EWR monthy but have truthfully never paid attention as my uber/Lyft drops me at level 3 door 1 and I’ve never looked down the curb.

Long story short, I’m on crutches temporarily and have only a carryon + personal item but will be traveling alone so want to make sure there’s someone relatively close by when my Uber drops me at the curb who can grab my duffel bag (I’m able to carry backpack).

If anyone can advise on the best place to be dropped off I would really appreciate it!

Connecting through EWR on a UA 737 to YVR on an AC 787. I have a long layover so time isn't an issue. Should we take the bus or monorail with a passenger in a wheelchair? If we take the bus, will we have to go through TSA again?

I do not have personal experience transiting EWR with wheelchair, but Mono rail certainly has elevators, and I think would be much easier than trying to navigate boarding / getting off a bus.

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but I noticed that the nasty blue-blazer dragons guarding the entry to the boarding line at EWR A-terminal seemed to have been replaced. I haven't seen the really nasty "lady" in some time, and the much improved staff are wearing a different uniform...maybe a wholesale contractor replacement?

BIG improvement.

Now if only we could get Pre-check open more than once in a blue moon...

I am arriving from SIN on SQ and have a connecting UA flight to EWR on a separate ticket.

Can I check my bags with UA after customs at Terminal B or do I need to shlep them over to A or C?

If my flight departs from A can I still check-in at C since there's pre-check? Thanks!
