United Airlines operates an "air side" shuttle bus between Terminals A and C from 4:00AM to 12:00AM (midnight). In addition, United also operates a shuttle bus connecting Terminals A and C to terminal B (pier 3, used by Star Alliance carriers) from 1:00PM to 11:00PM, but not in the opposite direction (shuttle does not board at Terminal B). The shuttle bus is available at gate A28 and C70 as illustrated in the image above. The shuttle drops off passengers at the terminal B through the service entry, that requires walking up 2 flights of stairs - there is no elevator. Only the front bus doors will open for alighting at terminal B.This service is free and you will not have to go through TSA security again. Please note this shuttle is operated at the sole responsibility of United Airlines and is subject to modification at their discretion.

Air Canada operates out of the A1 pier and the UA bus does not go there, so you will need to reclear security to get to your SQ flight. 1:41 does not offer lots of extra time but you should be okay -- IF your AC flight arrives

n time. Regional jets are generally delayed/canceled before larger aircraft. So, if there is any bad weather you can easily turn your scheduled connection into a misconnect.

Was on SQ21 yesterday which departs 0945. Went to the Polaris lounge and then tried to take the bus from C71. Contract workers claimed that they do not provide service from C to B for SQ pax. What appeared to be a UA employee nearby then claimed the bus does not go to B until 1115. Was not inclined to argue with them so I went landside and cleared security again at B. No idea if hiding my boarding pass and saying I was going to A, then asking the bus driver to go to B would have worked (as suggested upthread by someone else)... anyone else managed to successfully do this?

DEL-EWR-IAD

Stop at EWR is 1 hr 39 mins in the morning on Dec 27th. Would it give enough time to land, collect bags, process immigration and board EWR-IAD leg? Not really familiar with EWR layout.

Other details: US Citizen, wheelchair - can walk short distance, Premier Silver, flying Business.

Any tips?

hokiebuy, until one of our experienced EWR travelers comes by, you may want to have a look at posts 1202-1203 of this [present] Consolidated EWR connections thread which discuss an identical connecting time from International-domestic.

One difference is that the other Int'l. arrival is at an off-peak time, but that traveler did not have Global Entry as do you. If you'd like, I can move your query to the above thread.

I'm considering a 0h36 connection at EWR, with a YX E75 inbound and a YX E70 outbound (DCA :: UA3467 EWR UA3531 :: MSP). I am aware this is a borderline insane connection, but I am wondering

(a) what are my odds of making this connection (in percent, not "you're nuts")
(b) what are my odds of at least having a C-C transfer? I'm pretty sure 36 minutes from C to A is flatly impossible, and also violates MCT.
(c) what are experiences with getting OALed in IRROPS? There's a 10pm nonstop on AA that maybe I should just be paying for to start with...

I swear UA once had a 10pm IAD-MSP...

Yeah.. I am strongly waffling against just taking the 10pm AA flight for $130 in Y. Maybe the new 1K requirements have got me too worried about squeezing every possible PQD out of my travels

I assume that as a 1K my hotel should be covered by UA if I misconnect though, and would also be pushing to get endorsed over to the AA flight if DCA-EWR so much as breaks tempo. And a night in EWR followed by the morning flight isn't the end of the world, but if it's a near-certainty I might as well just spend the night in DC and fly in the morning.

Are there Global Entry kiosks in terminal C (UA international arrival)? <I only ever remember arriving in terminal B.>

For a connection to a UA domestic flight departing from terminal C, is there a recommended TSA check-point? I have Pre-Check, is that the best option, and is it easy to find after clearing Customs and handing off a checked bag?

If a non-stop ticket is $130 I'd be buying that. It's not enough PQD vs. the hassle

Flying from Toronto to Tokyo, but connecting Newark (with a 1hr27min layover). Questions:

1. Will I need to recheck bags in Newark or will they go straight to Tokyo? Both flights will be through United. I may not check any bags, but just wondering if I have the option. If I have to recheck bags I simply won't check any -not worth it with a tight connection.

2. Is 1hr27min enough time to connect? I know I will have to take a shuttle bus to the other side of the airport. So I am slightly concerned I suppose.
