Mine said "from $449" and then offered me to buy up for $69. Seems like there are a few bugs out there...

30 on the upgrade list with two open seats this morning.

While everyone else is getting these cheap upgrades, the new united.com is trying to charge me $754 to upgrade LGA-ORD...

Cheaper? I wish. Was offered a double upgrade to F at checkin on ORD-GRU for $5k. I can currently upgrade to C GRU-ORD for $1.8k, which seems reasonable but I won't be taking it.

W fare coming down, S fare going back.

It looks like they are all Silvers. The sweep ran and issues 7 CPUs last night. The issue for this weekend (reported by UAInsider) was that the CPU sweep was shut off (nobody got advanced UGs) until yesterday at noon. That put a bunch of things out of order.

It's no longer available as of this morning.

Wasn't on a cheapo fare to begin with, but no status on US and I DEFINITELY displaced some other US elites.

Seems like this is just another of the new airline things.

Those are the GoFares upgrades and have been around for at least 6 years, probably much longer. $50 per 500 miles traveled. I have no idea if they trump elite upgrades, but they were generally available on the Shuttle for me as long as I wasn't flying during irrops or on Friday evenings.

Yes and the compounding issue this weekend is that CPUs were turned off for the go-live. The system thought all elites were upgraded because there was CPU inventory left (in the case of this particular flight there were 9 CPUs unassigned) when in fact none of the automatic upgrades were run..

Not a good deal

2 seats in F, booked in G (Cheap), offered 179 DEN-AUS on express.

Not a good deal. It is R1, but I can not see the upgrade list. Cleared PDX/DEN on a 57 before the system changed. I have never seen in the UA system so many F open with a long wait list. Currently booked 13/24 with 9 on the w/l. UA usually clears everyone before check in. So, this is new.

Also booked LAX/SFO/PDX on Thurdsay in U and not cleared.

If it's any consolation, the offer to buy-up on my DCA-ORD flight next Friday jumped from $175 pre-3/3 to $555 just now.

Another $0 upgrade!
