Mixed metal seems to be causing my problems.
 

I spent one hour and 43 minutes on a call with United yesterday (as they did as well with a Continental agent) for the 2nd time this week trying to fix a record that Shares is bound and determined it will destroy before 3/3.

Here are the details:

Two of us travelling on different records (used e-certs for ticketing) with the exact same itinerary. Applying SWU's roundtrip as well. Return cleared immediately, waitlisted on outbound.

My record, no problems yet. No out of sync errors at all. Everything rosey.

My partner's record, a disaster. Shares has arbitrarily dropped the over the water segments, which were rebooked when I noticed it 2 days later. The next day, Shares randomly decided to cancel the return flights. R of course is not available when reinstating them, but an hour with a Supervisor gets that fixed. Two days later, Shares decides to cancel the outbound over the water segment and the return domestic leg. It then rebooks the domestic leg on another flight two hours later in economy. It can't be bothered rebooking the Int'l segment at all. Shares is arbitrary when it comes to these things, I guess.

To complicate matters, both of our records are all kinds of screwed up on .bomb, but as of an hour ago, reflect correctly only in Continental's system online even though they're both 016 tickets.

Moral of the story: If you're flying mixed metal itins, verify your itineraries on co.com every day.
