Bulkhead TVs always fall down!
On both PMCO and PMUA
Seems like out of 14 trips on the 777 in row 16 (19,20 on UA), my TV has stayed up once. Other passengers sometimes just give up. No AVOD for such a long flight if you can't figure out a way to rig it up I bring my own bungee now:D Am I the only one?! |
Having something to hold them up is smart. It's not just UA/CO. On my Delta flight from HKG-DTW a man had to do the same thing. His suggestion to be moved to an open seat in BusinessElite was shot down. I think he used his belt to hold it up.

Are you talking about armrest-mounted PTVs or bulkhead-mounted PTVs? I've only ever seen bulkhead-mounted PTVs on pmCO flights, although I imagine the 752 exit/bulkhead rows probably have armrest-mounted PTVs.

I've not had the tv problem in PMUA's new configuration 777s but my tray table has always been at a very precarious angle. I've had to put books on my knees and rest the table on them during meals. And that's 3/3 flights on the type.

I've had that issue on the old config 777s in C. Also, the crappy picture quality on a lot of those screens kinda stinks, too.

I had this problem on m last trip to Europe. Got a sky kit for the problem.

Seems to be the norm even on the newly equiped United 777s, but on the plus side theres nothing worth watching anyway.
