Are Priority luggage tags going to be discontinued?

Where the tags really had juice was UA 8xx into SGN from HKG - not only did they come out first but they were on their own baggage carousel and passengers' names posted on a list.
Now that's priority baggage service.
I've never seen a stream of priority tagged bags (and only priority tagged bags) being the first ones out anywhere in the US.
