That A club has no espresso machine - drives me crazy.
Was in the pop-up club last week and the bartender did not wear a mask...I was kind of shocked (not that it really bothered me...it was just her and me in the club at one point). Not a UA employee, but still...

I was told the espresso machines were no longer being maintained after Sodexo's contract to operate the clubs expired and was not renewed. I assume the machines are leased from a vendor, or maintained by a third party that is a contractor to Sodexo, not United. FLiK Hospitality reportedly will begin supplying new machines in the near future.

Seriously, the machines have been removed from the C74 United Club?
I know there were two there less than a year ago but could have sworn I had an espresso there with the one machine on the right side of the bar as late as Dec 2021.
Is that what happened to the A lounge or the A lounge never had one?
I can't believe it. So pathetic.

They do still have one functioning machine at SFO rotunda, along with one broken one, both of the same model they had at EWR. Has SFO not yet transitioned to FLiK? I had unthinkingly assumed the machines were actually owned by United, which would fit if SFO is transitioned, but it would be a little odd if FLiK are managing the machines and they have already let it break. I guess I would also assume if there is a third party leasing the machines to United, that United wouldn't have historically been so "shy" about fixing them.

Just FYI the espresso machine at EWR’s LH lounge does work, in case someone wants to check them out in B between 2:30 and 8:30 PMs

The sad state of EWR UC continues...
In the rare occasion I do get to the airport in advance of departure, I would sit by an empty gate even if I have access to UC.

I was there yesterday about 1;00 and it was tolerable. And, if you have established a nice relationship with some of the gatekeepers, it can be pleasant catching up. But I guess you can say the same about The Joint

Im flying out of C138 tomorrow - but will have some time to kill at the airport. How far roughly is the walk from the C74 club to the gate? Its tough to tell from the airport maps.
Edit to add: I do have access to the Terminal B International clubs w/ my Amex Platinum - is it worth just going over there instead?
