Same Day Flight Change City Pair (IAD to BWI) Question
Hi all, it's been a while...
So...AS has &(%(&ed up my seating on a SEA-DCA transcon and it looks like I'll have a middle seat. Joy. I'm thinking of canceling my outbound and buying a CO ticket, but in order to save a few hundred dollars, will someone be so kind as to answer the following question: If I buy a ticket ANC-SEA-ORD-IAD and ask in SEA to be put onboard the SEA-BWI nonstop, will they let me do so without charge? I know as a PremEx/Gold I can do same day changes for free, but are IAD and BWI considered part of the happy WAS family and therefore won't get dinged for changing my arrival city? Thanks for your help! |
Probably not. I do not believe that the SDC rule permits co-terminals, even if they are considered such.

I've never seen a UA N/S SEA-BWI. Are you sure it isn't a direct flight?

Export from Wandering Aramean Travel Tools Code:

I don't think there's a SEA-BWI nonstop, either, but if you ask in ORD to be put on the ORD-BWI, there's a good chance they'll let you do it. I have on multiple occasions switched from BWI or IAD to DCA out of Chicago.
