[IT glitch --] 1K's are now Presidential Platinums as well? [threads merged]

Just logged in to my CO account and the status had changed to Presidential Platinum. I had qualified to CO PLT back in 2010 but did most of my flying in 2011 on UA. Combined EQM is about 125K.

Pres Plat is supposed to be the GS equivalent so I expect this is a mistake and will be fixed. Mine also shows PPlat now and there's no way I spent enough to qualify for PPlat/GS.

Per the Presidential Platinum page just means you spent $30K or more during 2011 on CO.

But congrats.

+1, also thinking this is the CO place holder for next year 1K's, just got off the phone with the CO PP elite desk(changing an award itenary) after holding for 30 minutes, and for some reason they are getting swamped with calls today

It basically means 1K's now have EAU upgrade priority over your run of the mill Platinum Elites...

This is what I'm thinking. Maybe OnePass is going to go ahead and put in the 1K level before the programs are combined, moving current PPlat to the new "5th tier" and using the "4th tier" to represent the 1K level, but they haven't changed the tier labels yet.

But congrats.
Thanks on behalf of Mrs. Fredd and me, although our CO spend was about $29K short of that in 2011.

Could I ask a favor and request we all just keep this among ourselves until toward the end of January when we've completed our CO flights to DEL?

No, I didn't think so.

I got all excited when I punched in my number on the phone and it said they were transfering me to the Pres Plat line. I logged on and saw my status had changed. I've now been on hold 6 mins. Gosh, I feel bad for the real Pres Plat's.
