After the adjustment I'm up to 950K lifetime - just checked my account and its showing 1P. Based on my flying last year it should still show GM so they must be recognizing the 100K One Pass miles (accounts are linked) prior to the combination????
Whatever the reason ^^^

I just turned 1MM unexpectedly!
Very interesting, and a nice surprise --
I knew that I had been around 800,000 lifetime miles on my UA account, and expecting to fly several years more until the big 1MM -- but today looking at my balances, I find that I'm over the 1MM threshold all of a sudden.
I suppose that this is the result of the "uniformization" between OnePass and MP -- but had no idea that it could make such a difference...

It has not been uncommon to see a couple hundred thousand miles or more added to the total. I jumped up 220,000 myself. Which is sad, because that means I've flown 220,000 miles on US Airways....

New Life Time Miles balance
I just received the preview for 2012. My wife and I usually fly together and the balance on both our UA and CO account were pretty much similar. However, with the adjustments at UA I suddenly am about 40k life time miles ahead. Not sure what caused that. Anyone some knowledge about that?
I must have missed the warning but those of us who didn't merge accounts are missing out; only accounts merged before 1/1/12 will see the addition. Fortunately we merged accounts last year, at least now we have a reasonable chance of reaching million miler status (what a waste those years at US were)

They announced this some time ago. They do a one time adjustment since CO and UA credited LFM differently, CO being more liberal. So most UA folks will get a one time increase. I gained 159K UA Lifetime miles credit. The merger would have put me well over the MM mark regardless so this boosted me to almost 1.5 MM.

Any credit cards earning EQMs?
if credited to MP, they at least are now in your UA lifetime total.

I got a HUGE bump, over a 50% bonus! Not sure who I was flying to get all of those extra miles, a lot of LH and LX, plus DEQM promos? My wife is very happy to have *G now. I have reminded her that I get to re nominate her every year, so she'd better be on her best behavior!

I'm surprised that, despite my paltry number of UA miles (having credited to US for so many years instead) that I got an 80% bump:
21,743 MileagePlus lifetime miles balance on 12/31/11
+ 17,310 Additional EQM* earned since MileagePlus enrollment date
[39,053] MileagePlus recalculated lifetime miles balance
(You can see this reflected in your account now.)

My increment is 862,469 which is close to my own rough calculation of 840K.
Now within reach of the lifetime 3MM 1K status and a lifetime United Club membership in my pocket, it will be difficult to fly another US based carrier.
