What does it say when you log in to ua.com and then visit this page: https://www.united.com/web/en-US/app.../default.aspx? It seems that if you are eligible to apply for a personalized code, then you could give that code to someone else. But this is just a guess.

No it can not be done. UA explicitly states
Applicants with an existing Global Entry membership can take advantage of this benefit during their next renewal.
No mention of transferability of the personalized code. Little reason for UA to do that.

It is a once every five year benefit, so eventually you will be able to use the benefit.

The first referenced thread has experience of others on this

Also in the T&C, it states:
The personalized code is the property of United Airlines. It may not be used for any purpose other than for a new application, by the original recipient, for the Global Entry program.
So, I wouldn't even try it.

You can't transfer to another person; however, you can apply for a credit to be given to you if you already have GE (that's what I did). All you have to do is send an email to [email protected] and submit proof (usually a statement credit and the GE receipt) that you paid for it. They will issue you a check in about 4-6 weeks for $100 and sent via snail mail.

I already got the GE summer last year, I became Platinum this year. Can I get a new GE for my friend and then submit proof? It obviously will not have my name on it but not sure if they care about that. I also will not be platinum next year either...

So you were not eligible to get UA to pay for it, so you were required (if you wanted that product) to pay for it. You now would be eligible for it, if you did not already have the product, but most likely aren't going to be able to get UA to credit a service you paid for because you were not eligible at the time. Now you are asking if you can violate the rules and submit a document in somebody's else's name as your own in hoped you can fraudulently rob UA of their money?

I guess you could try, but if you plan on committing fraud, why not go for the home run and start a fund that offers great returns to investors, line off that money, then repay a few a long as you keep getting new investors, with the new investors money.

Now that SDC is free for you, do are you going to submit your friends/coworkers change fees as your own, claiming UA charged you in error?

I don't understand your question, it appears you know that this is wrong and against the rules, but you seem to want permission to commit fraud. Only you can decide if your ethics are so low that this is a good thing and that it is worth the risk. Either that or you don't understand that it is UA's for you to use for your GE, and that it is not for any other people even though that was pointed out.

I guess you were matched to UA and don't plan to fly enough for the 2015-2016 year? So, this is a one time deal for the remainder of this year?

Sweet scam, bro. There's still some clubs that leave the cocoa out. Get on it before they lock it up there too.

Yes; after the stupid 24 hour delay UA's program just gives you a mastercard number to use, so you can give it to anyone to use for GE.

Can you? I suppose as they just give you a credit card number for a one time use. To me, $100 isn't worth it to me to violate the Terms and Conditions.

When I submitted my receipt over, it clearly listed my name and the transaction number and date I received it. My purchase was for an old date, and that was why I was reimbursed for it.

Why not just submit your legitimate receipt over and get reimbursed and you have the right to pay for your friends GE from your own pocket. In the end, it would be a wash for you

Thanks for this.

I had already renewed my GE, not remembering that UA would reimburse it. Just sent the required info.

Do you need HUGZ?

Was it prior to you becoming Platinum Member?

That was my initial goal from the start...but I went off tangent

So I've read this is a one time benefit. Does that mean that when my initial 5 years run out I'm on my own to renew or will UA let me apply with them paying again (assuming I'm still Plat)?

Global Entry Payment Code in arrears

Hi!

I just made Premier Platinum, and I saw that there's an option for a Global Entry Payment Code. I've already applied for and received Global Entry, is there any way they'll reimburse the charge?

Thanks!

It may depend on your status. I sent them an email explaining the situation (with receipts and documentation), and after about a month I got a check for $100 in the mail. Signed by $MI/J
