Does one get a code each new year that you re-qualify for Plat/1K?
I got my initial one about a year ago and used it to successfully apply for GE.
When trying the site
united.com/globalentrycompensation
I first get
where "request" is a link.
Clicking on that link gives me a page that says:
Is this on United's end, or is it because it's a one time deal? Or ?? If one gets a credit each year, I'd like to give mine to a family member.

GE is good for five years. It wouldn't make sense for United to offer the credit more than once every five years per user.

Well, no, it wouldn't. But on one or two occasions -- I know this is hard to imagine
-- UA has done things that don't make sense....
If the GE folks report back to UA that a code has been used, then I can see that another would not be offered. Otoh, I don't have that much faith in UA's IT. Shocking, I know.
ETA: Just saw your edit:
I don't get that link/verbiage. So thanks for the answer!

UA- Global Entry Voucher
Just wondering if anybody has run into this.
I am a UA 1k and am entitled to a $100 voucher to cover Global Entry costs. I received my voucher number about a year ago. I never ended up actually using it ( I know, I am terrible.)
Now, every time I try to get a voucher number via UA website, it says "we are experiencing technical difficulties". Calls to UA has been useless. I also emailed them and attached screenshots.
Very frustrating. I could just pay the $100 myself, but now it's about winning.
Maybe somebody has been through this also?!

The voucher may have had a limited life -- 1 year delay is a bit much.
Have you contacted 1KVoice by e-mail to ask about the validated of the vouchure?
For general GE vouchure issues see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ul-2012-a.html

Whichever you like. UA gives you a cc number to use on the application. It appears AMEX credits your account after payment (at least this is my understanding after checking the terms) so if you use this, you'll earn points.

Global Entry personalized code
I applied for a Global Entry personalized code yesterday and got one. Since I already have Global Entry, I do not need to spend the code on the application fee for Global Entry.
Does anyone know if I can use the code United provided for Global Entry somewhere else? ie. amazon.com?
Thanks!

To clarify, you want to use the $100 in "value" that would have gone to GE at another store/company?
Short answer: No. the code may only be used for GE. It has no residual/cash value for any other purpose.

reading Global Entry Compensation shows
The personalized code is the property of United Airlines. It may not be used for any purpose other than for a new application, by the original recipient, for the Global Entry program.
The personalized code is single-use only, redeemable only on the GOES website, and will be valid for six months after the eligible applicant registers to receive it.

This benefit applies to new applications only and has a maximum value of $100 USD every five years.
Applicants who are not approved for Global Entry membership after receiving the $100 credit may not receive an additional $100 credit toward another application until five years after the initial compensation request.

But given that this is a question about UA, I'll move it to the UA forum for the UA experts to cover in more detail.

Premier Platinum Global Entry Fee
I'm Premier Platinum and wanted to utilize the global entry free for platinum members. I already have it, and wanted to give to my spouse or friend? Can this be done, of course the helpdesk is not much value.
