Mine was done a few weeks ago; it took 7-10 days. I saw the conditional approval on the website well before they sent any notification though.

I'll keep checking and hope it's close. I'd like to get an appointment (in Denver) and have it set before some over-seas Christmas travel.

Ironically, the day I posted this query, my conditional approval came through. I live in the Denver area so I checked the Denver approval site for an interview and the first appointment time is mid- April 2013. Really? 6 months away?

Yeah, some sites are tougher than others. CLT is near impossible, SFO is about 3 months.

I filed mine a while back and am waiting until we transit IAH on a long connection to do the interview. IAH seems reasonable, JFK/EWR easy, etc.

Called Denver and they said April it is, "everyone" is backed up, and don't drop-in, "we won't be processing you without an appointment." Part of the frustration is they are open M, W, F from 10:00 -2:00; not real customer-oriented there.

If you're in the SEA area, go to BFI. My wait was ~1.5wks

I did mine in DEN a few months ago. I logged in and found an appointment that week - it was a cancellation. Otherwise they were booked for months. So, keep checking regularly, you may luck into an appointment at the last minute.

Took my paperwork about a week from app to approval.

in other news

PHX is booked up for the times that I am going to be there, so I just scheduled my appointment with the start of my vacation in December.

Received "personalized code" from United on Oct 3 (had requested it ~3 days earlier, don't know/remember the exact request date).

Applied for Global Entry on GOES on October 10.

Was given conditional approval on Oct 23, but they didn't email me letting me know that until Oct 25.

Scheduled my interview on Oct 25 -- the only available date for the Vegas center in calendar year 2012 was Nov 27 (so I took that).

When I initially tried to book my interview CLT would not even allow me to see the calendar. I then booked a slot in ATL and called CLT. They said they were "reworking" their system and should have more available soon. I kept checking in and last week was able to book a slot there for the end of next week. At that time, there were more CLT slots open!

submitted application 10/22 am timeframe
conditional approval 11/1 pm timeframe, I noticed on the GOES page, have not officially received notice yet.
appointment scheduled 11/6 am timeframe IAH aiport location
Approved 11/6 same day as interview.

Pretty quick, I got a flight on 11/18 that I wanted GE for. I will get a card in a few weeks, but the card is only needed for boarder crossing not for aiports. I should be able to use GE for my upcoming Nov, Dec and Jan international flights.

Appointment times have changed all day, I orginally booked the 18th, moved to the 11th and then moved 6th. Later tonight when I checked the 4th and 5th opened and got booked up quickly. So keep checking, especially close in to your date.

I applied for Global Entry in August, but wasn't aware of the new process unfortunately. Can I still e-mail [email protected] and get a $100 credit?

I got my credit from United and had a reservation back in August. Went but because I forgot a utility bill had to come back. Never had the time to go back between work and travel, but since I've paid already and still need an interview, anyone know how I can go about doing this? Do I just go in as a walk-in and provide my applicant ID, despite the fact I'm months late?
