Lifetime PC replacement card question
Just happened upon info to replace my Lifetime PC card (not that I need one) and I saw this:
Replacement Card Types You are eligible for the Platinum Elite discount rates listed below. Member Only -- $25 Spouse Only -- $25 Member And Spouse -- $50 Membership Expiration Date: Thu., Dec. 31, 2099 Does this mean that I can get a card with my spouse's name on it for only $25? And what does "member and spouse" mean? We're talking about a replacement card here. I don't get it. |

Yes -- you can get a card with your spouse's name on it. If you want your card replaced for both your spouse and you, then it is $50 ($25 per card replacement).
EDITED: I think mnmag answered this. IF I have Lifetime PC with spouse, that is the cost. BUT if I am only Lifetime PC for me, it is not relevant. |

So as a Lifetime PC member, you are allowed to have a separate card for your spouse, meaning that she can enter clubs without you? Was it always this way? I recall that there was a higher cost for Lifetime PC with spouse option.

I have a lifetime PC card that won't scan. Every time I enter a club it takes the agents time to manually enter it. But I refuse to pay $25 to make their job easier.
I assume we will all get a replacement "United Club"card. Sometime............................. |

I had a card that refused to scan and after being told that it would cost $25 to send me out a new card, I politely declined and hung up and like Vulcan, I refused to pay money to make CO employees lives easier, so I would inform the PClub agent that I had a faulty card and he/she would have to manually enter the number.
After a while (I think it was the SFO club) the agent instead of just entering the number and returning the card to me, picked up the phone and called the OPSC and spoke with somebody for a minutes stated that my card was faulty and asked that they send me out a new card. Apparently if an agent from a club calls there is/was no charge for a replacement card. Dan |

UA Insider indicated that upon renewal new cards would be sent. But no mention about LT cards. Seems to me that all cards need issued, particularly with the scan problem. Too many people have problems with their LT card not scanning. |
United Club Cheats on Lifetime Memberships
22 years ago as CO was evolving from one of its several bankruptcies, I purchased a Lifetime membership in the P Club for a very good price. Now United posts on My Accounts that my Lifetime benefit in the United Club will expire on December 31, 2099.
Why are they cheating me at the prime of my life? Did someone tell them I would die before my 151th birthday? Anyone else going to join my lawsuit? |

Cheated by UA -- Lifetime Club memberships now Expire
Just checked My Account. I purchased a Lifetime Prez Club Lifetime membership 22 years ago. Now they list it as expiring on Dec. 31, 2099. Does UA predict or plan to facilitate the death dates of their customers? Should I wait until late 2099 to purchase term life insurance?
