Revised Upgrade Order on United?
I received an email from CO a couple of days ago regarding the pecking order which puts CO Platinums ahead of Premier Executives at the 72 hour mark. Does anyone knows for sure is this indeed is correct? It certainly makes sense since a CO Platinum earned 75,000 miles as to the Premier Executive's 50,000.

1Ps are behind CO golds at 72 hours on CO metal. Or were you asking about UA metal? |
To the best of my knowledge the two airlines are still maintaining separate upgrade priority lists.
CO metal -- PPlat>Plat>GS>1K>Gold>1P>Silver>2P and Subject to availability, upgrades for OnePass Elite and Mileage Plus elite members traveling on Continental will begin to clear as early as 120 hours from departure, depending on your OnePass Elite or Mileage Plus status. Specifically, Continental Platinum Elite, United Global Services and United 1K will begin to clear up to 120 hours prior to departure. Continental Gold Elite and United Premier Executive will begin to clear up to 72 hours prior to departure. Continental Silver Elite and United Premier and will begin to clear up to 24 hours prior to departure. UA Metal -- GS>1K>1P>CO Gold(PPlat,Plat,Gold)>2P>Silver and Mileage Plus Global Services -- 120 hours prior to departure Mileage Plus 1K® -- 100 hours Mileage Plus Premier Executive® -- 72 hours (clearance among these levels is based on elite status, booking code and ticketing date) Continental Star Gold (including OnePass Presidential Platinum, Platinum and Gold) Mileage Plus Premier -- 48 hours (clearance among these levels is based on elite status, booking code and ticketing date) Continental Star Silver (including OnePass Silver) If you have seen a different ordering, please post.

Plats are 75K and higher 1Ps are 50 to 99.999K, so it is possible many 1Ps are >75K. But given the dissimilar mileage thresholds, it is impossible to be fair to everyone and favoring your original elites seems a reasonable solution |

Well, that sucks (for me)! I have crossed the 75K mark on UA (should be a Plat on CO), but the "status match" hasn't worked for over a month now. I have an upcoming flight on CO metal, and I guess I will end up in Y for sure now (not sure how good a chance I would have as a Plat, though, on LAX-EWR!:D).
