I'm pleased with the vodka upgrade and the best of both gin coming over. Looks like they might have done right on this one. Downside is the higher mai tai pricing. Not a scotch or whisky drinker, so I can't comment on what was before or is now.

Best part is "Alcoholic beverages are available on most flights. Complimentary in premium cabins. Priced as shown in economy cabin."

looks like all the $tirrings are gone. I guess CO decided to go with your advice and just ditch them.

Looks like a slight upgrade but the Scotch/Bourbon choice is still no good...why can't they do what DL does and offer Woodford Reserve as a decent Bourbon...

Absolut is not an upgrade from anything other than Fleischman's IMO. It was Finlandia or Smirnoff before, right? I'd rather either of those over Absolut.

Guess I'll be running them out of rum on a regular basis now.

I think it was Skyy (CO) and Finlandia (UA). Absolut is a definite upgrade from Skyy and a minor upgrade from Finlandia in my book.

This sucks!! I absolutely HATE Absolute vodka. this destroys my screwdrivers, bloody marys, white russians and vodka sodas. Skky is much better. Finlandia would have been nice. damn damn damn.

Yes it was Skyy/Finlandia. Absolut is an improvement. I'd like to see some better whisky/scotch - at least Johnny Walker Black for international and Red for domestic.

I agree with you on Johnny Walker although I'd like Blue for Intl F.

I think UA used to have Chivas for intl which is a shame to see it go as I am a big fan.

So would I but I don't think UA would ever buy it for us haha.

Wasn't it less than 6 months ago that it was complimentary in all cabins on intl flights (at least to Asia)?

+1! I never liked Absolute. It's way too oily tasting.

Well, if it's a real martini you're spot on target. For a mixed drink it matters much less.

As a side note, I flew today on UA metal and the FA remarked about the Bombay Sapphire. I'm not a gin drinker, but my friends who are would be very pleased with this change.

UA used to serve this in int'l F.

Personally, I much prefer a good single malt over blends.

I still disagree. I really dislike Absolut and I drink a lot of vodka.
