Benefits unique to the Chase MP Presidential Plus card (closed and not available for new cardholders)
- 1000 FPQM per $5,000 spend (or 0.2 / $1)
- FPQMs are only valid for Premier Silver / Gold / Platinum status, expire 3 years after earning
- FPQMs can only be used to increase PQMs to a max of 75,000. They are not counted once 75K is reached. (example 80K PQMs +10 FPQMs is still 80K total)
- FPQMs cannot be used to earn GPUs or RPUs past 75K PQMs
- FPQMs are held separately and are only used when the owner requests them to be applied to their MP account
FPQMs can be applied for a given year as late as March 31 of the next year

FlexPQPs have a unique feature. There can be applied to the prior year up to 1 March of the next year

Thanks, although it still seems nonsensical to not let me apply the points now. Why the wait?

That is strange. With that logic, you will still be Platinum come January 1, why would it be different then?

I have tried to do this through both the website and the app and receive the same sort of generic message that something isn't right and to try back later. After doing this a couple of times over a couple of days I gave up and had a message session with Mileage Plus. The agent was happy to move the points but when she tried she couldn't do it either. After checking she said that the points couldn't be moved because I am already Platinum and that the points would have to be moved after January 1. Is that really the case, or is there some bug in their system? At that point, 2022 is done with and the clock starts again. How can the points that are to be moved in 2023 count toward 2022 status?

Have others run into this scenario and if so will I actually qualify for Platinum if I follow what they said to do and move the points after January 1?
What does the status tracker say? Is it possible that you have some CC PQPs that were recently added to your account?

Nope, status tracker has me 125 points short as well. Just a strange way of doing things.

I'm trying to transfer FPQP. I can see how many I have available and I cannot find the link to where I am able to do the transfer. I'm silver and I'm trying to get it done for next year. I've used both Firefox and Edge. The link is nowhere to be found, either in MyUnited or when I click on the link for status tracker.

Go to My United and click on the question mark next to Flex PQP under Premier Progress.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I clicked around My United and I thought I hit every single question mark.... except that one.

Thank you very much.

Mystery solved. 500 PQP's showed up in my account the other day. They were all applied to 2022 status qualification. Obviously, the system knew the points were coming (or were there but not showing yet) and did not let me apply the other points. Too bad that they could not just apply the 125 I needed for Platinum rather than all 500, but that's a small matter.

Planning on canceling my PresPlus in the next few weeks. Will my Flex PQPs disappear? Or do I get to keep them after account closing? Have a small amount that won't expire that I may want to apply to a future year, but would rather go ahead apply them this year if they're going to be confiscated anyway. Anyone know?

Oh, don't cancel it. I so regret canceling my Presidential Plus card. And the decision isn't reversible.

March 31, 2023 is the final date to use any Expiring FPQPs. These were earned in 2019 only and they will simply disappear if you don't use them by the end of March.
Everyone should use them before that date. If you wish to use them towards 2024, use them after the new year begins. If you wish to use them for 2023 you can transfer them now OR after the new year begins.
They are not good to 1K, but I don't see getting there for 2024 with the new old qualification levels. Having these FPQPs will make it fairly straightforward to get to Platinum.

Is there a way to check balance transfer history and points earned history for FPQPs?

Go to My United. Scroll to Recent Activity. Click on View full activity details. On the top right is a Download link. This downloads an Excel spreadsheet going back to 1/1/20. This records all of your activities including the transfers of Flex PQPs since 1/1/20. Every year they lop off an earlier year so it's only for ~3+ years.
The Flex PQP ? transfer portal on the My United page only keeps a record of FPQPs that have not transferred yet. Any that you currently have were earned in 2019 and must be used by March 31 or were earned before 2012 and don't expire.

I realize this glitch has been mentioned upthread, but I'm happy to see that UA believes I'll still be alive 42 years from now and will earn a grand total of 233 Flex PQP that year from a PP card I regretfully canceled some years ago. I suspect my MP membership won't be the only thing expired by that point. Not saying my age, but I'm hitting my 40-year MP anniversary this summer.
