EQM codeshare in class S

I'm booked RT on UA from DEN-CPT. UA metal DEN-IAD, then SAA metal IAD-CPT in booking class S. Will I get all or some percentage of EQM's? Thanks for help.

The earning chart says you'll earn full EQM on an S fare on UA metal. SAA is 70 percent.

Hint: an SAA S fare accrues 100% EQM to Continental OnePass. http://www.continental.com/CMS/en-US...spx?ItemId=316

OnePass and Mileage Plus miles will be added up at the end of the year for 2012 status (and iirc if you combine your accounts now, they'll be summed up nightly for current status qualification).

Keep in mind that if it is a codeshare, the UA booking class "translates" to a different SAA booking class, and that is the class which gets credited.

^ correct. If you call SA they should be able to look up your booking class if you give them your flight details.

but in this case it will not matter because all discount economy fares are 70% UA MP EQM on SA and 100% if creditted to CO OP.

Or potentially 0%. But the advice is valid in any case, not just for discount economy. Agreed that this poster should just credit to CO but it may be helpful to know the booking class anyway.

nope, none of the paid economy fares creditiing is 0% on SA to either OP or MP.
The 0% are award fare class.

OP, it would be awesome if you could let us know what it mapped to if you've called in to SA. I'm thinking of booking something similar, and'd like to know…

No, not "nope". The list is an specific list of included fare classes and earning rates, not a catch-all. There very well could be fares that earn 0% simply because they are not listed on this page. It happens very frequently on a wide variety of FF programs (including UA's) with partner airlines, when on extremely low discount fares or consolidator tickets.

Semantics maybe, but also something that can and does happen frequently.
