[QUOTE=UNITED863;16300689]On topic: He reiterated at Stanford that he does enjoy engaging the pilots & flight attendants while flying, noting how important it is for a CEO to get first-hand input at all levels.

LOL. Can someone call the producers of Undercover Boss? Forget talking. Hey Jeff, here's a toilet scrubber and try to have it cleaned in less than a min so that we can turn this tired bird around in 5.

Emergency row

Several weeks ago, JS was on the LGA I was on. I had an UDU to FC, he was in the emergency exit row. When the FA tried to ask the obligatory questions, he cut her off. She told him she had to ask the questions. He cut her off again. Then she pointed out that all of his seat mates need to hear the questions and respond verbally. Not sure if he was checking to see that she would do the announcement or if he was really dismissing her. We could hear him up in FC.

Was this UA metal?

CO doesn't ask the questions, though I've heard them at other carriers.

So I wonder how that will get reconciled.

Jeff was on flight 705 yesterday (ORD - DEN) along with two or three other company officers. I heard there was a town hall going on in Denver. He spent most of the flight standing near the 1st class galley. Was waiting in the jetway with everyone else for his bag to be brought up. I don't know if it was a coincidence but the flight was oversold and they were taking volunteers.

Wow, get a $400 voucher to not fly with Mr. Smisek? I think I'd like that.

On an intl flight recently I was asked the question by a CO flight attendant. Forgot it isn't normal practice but heard the FAA started getting sticky about this.

But maybe he was mad the upgrades cleared early and no space for him to do a late switch.

He was escorted right thru security at NRT by some suits. While the rest of the elites waited in that no air condition security room. Wonder where he was in a rush to.
