Truthfully, I never noticed it before, so maybe so. :o But, it stands out nicely against that 50K post count, doesn't it? ;)

Was glad to be able to finally make a signature line, however. Now I have to decide what will go in it. :p |

I have a choice of 3 football games to watch - Dolphins/Bucs, Pats/Lions, and Texans/49ers. Life is good.

Ever wonder what the Meatpacking District looks like on a Saturday night with ZERO people around?? http://www19.wanderingaramean.jux.com/
Downright spooky. |

Beautiful photos!

Water levels rising on the Hudson:
http://millerworks.smugmug.com/photo...-ZdKVLLK-M.jpg That's about 2-3' higher than the highest I've previously seen. Only a few more feet until the path along the river starts to see water on it. And that's the W on the left that you can barely see. |

Mornin' Box,
Looks like the NYC area has been spared (although the media is continuing with their usual breathless reporting )..... We actually felt the effects of Irene all the way down here in south Looziana: we have a north wind this morning with a noticeably lower dew point....it almost feels like a fall morning here. We sat outside with our coffee earlier and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds swooping in for their morning drink at our feeder...... Hope things get back to normal soon for all you good folks up in the Northeast. :) |
I sure do love me some good-humored parody in the mornings. :D

What are rules for?
I have a reservation on a future CO flight and I receive an e-mail about a change in the reservation. It turns out that one of the flight numbers has changed and they want to let me know about it.
I was wondering if this "change" will permit me to cancel the reservation without penalty per the following rule in CO's contract of carriage (rule 24) http://https://www.continental.com/w..._8-23-2011.pdf I know that the rule should be for a change in "time" but it does not say that specifically in the rule. It just says "change in schedule" and a schedule consists not only of time but of destination, flight number, equipment etc. I ask only as a matter of information. I suspect that the answer would be to go and suck eggs unless the travel's scheduled time changed. Opinion or past experiences? |
Beautiful, sunny morning here!
Sadly, many of my neighbors are still without power and/or water!:( |

Ah, LJU. The one that got away. :( I almost booked a little getaway to LJU when I found a great *A fare to that out-of-the-way city, but I didn't pull the trigger because I wanted to go to ATH more. Then that fell through and it was too late to get the LJU fare.
RNE, professing, "He who hesitates..." :( I've wanted to go to LJH and fly Adria. Haven't been able to yet, as we changed our RTW to an Asian trip. :( |
Hello Old Box. :)
