Hello B:rolleyes:x?

I have always been a UA guy, so I have never ventured into teh Box before. However, now that we are all one big "happy" family, I thought I'd come and say hi.

I'm in SFO, on an MR from snowy, miserable, YYC to IST and BLQ and back in only a couple days. Should be interesting, especially the 13.5 hr flight on TK from LAX-IST. In Y:td:.

I haven't been in this box for a day or so, so I'll give you a welcome as well and great work having flight memory already.

I would like a waffle but, as usual, I am trying to keep under 1000 calories a day while I am not traveling so no waffles until next week. :(

Then I will have the excuse of the Waffle House being across the street from my hotel in Louisville. :D

A sound plan. :-:

I've been bad this weekend and now it's time to get back on the horse bike.

This is indeed a great idea (1000 calories per day while not traveling).

Its so hard to lose weight. I have gained my winter weight. :(
My doctor is going to yell at me next month.

I will do my best to work off some weight. But, it just gets harder and harder.

That is what happens when you get :rolleyes:ld. I put on about 20 pounds from ages 32 to 37. Fortunately, things have been stable since.

I have tried and failed to think of something that doesn't go well with waffles. Caviar goes with pancakes so clearly it can go with waffles. Pastrami, maybe?

I am looking forward to a US 734 and its 30" pitch tomorrow. :-:

I was just reading last night that the Taco Bell Nachos Bell Grande has 1,320 calories.

Eat three quarters of one of those a day and that takes care of your food needs. Boom!

My not horribly expensive Sauvignon Blanc went quite well with the waffles. I'm also willing to bet something could be done with pastrami... a waffle pastrami Reuben? I think that would work. :-:

Well, if french toast + turkey = monte cristo, then waffle + pastrami is probably something comparable!^ I'm having wine - waffle!:p

Mackieman Apr 3, 11 8:21 pm

All of this talk of wine and waffles has made me crave a beer for some reason.

I think you're right, though I'm less certain about the sauerkraut.

I would have said brussels sprouts, but the best brussels sprouts I've had were sauteed with bacon, which obviously goes well with waffles.

Now I'm stumped. :o

Nap time is always a good time. Dinner time usually is, too. Great meal tonight with some old friends who came in from the 'burbs on a last-minute lark. Always fun.

How about topping 'em with anchovies, peanut butter, & marshmallows?:D

Nice, we enjoyed our favorite taco shop as Mrs. Mackie was not feeling particularly great after getting TORE UP last night. :D

That doesn't seem quite in the spirit, though. I was thinking in terms of things that you might want to eat when not combined with waffles. @:-)

That's the key phrase right there.

photog72 Apr 3, 11 11:31 pm

'Twas able to capture a couple decent pics of toddler photog72 among the bluebonnets in Chappell Hill, TX. Hit it on Friday, right before sunset. Used a point and shoot, and had the setting on sunset. Not too bad. Next time, I'll need to borrow/rent a DSLR. I prefer manual focusing and setting my own white balance.

Paid a visit to the Brazilian Consulate this morning. They open for application acceptance at 10. When I arrived at 9:35 I was about number 40 in line.

I was processed and out the door by 9:50.

I depart for this trip on 13 April. Visa will be ready for pickup on 12 April. Nothing like cutting it close.
