Certain legacy Chase MP cards earn PQM
-- Up to 5,000 PQM (1PQM per $1) for flights purchased online with united.com (agent purchased flights do not count)
-- 5,000 PQM for exceeding $35,000 total (qualifying) purchases on that card (not across a group of cards)
These both based on the calendar year (not statement) purchasing

The flight purchase PQMs will post 1 month after the statement date (occasionally 2 months) and will backdate to the last day of the purchase month.
The Total spend PQM bonus posts with the statement in which the thresholds met.

If you have posting issues, do not call (UA or Chase), it is a waste of time. Instead, log onto your Chase Account and use Chase's secure messaging system. Again, do not call (UA or Chase), it is a waste of time.

It also comes with a second (maximum) 5,000 PQMs for buying United tickets with the card. Typically, the miles post two months after I buy the tickets. Problems started about three years ago when these PQMs won't post. Each time that I call Chase to ask where the PQMs are, it will tell me to call United.

This year the situation has become quasi-comical. I call Chase re: the missing PQMs from my United purchases from five months ago. A rep said she will research the problem. I get a form letter telling me to call United. I call Chase again. A second rep promises to look into the matter more thoroughly. I get another identical form letter from Chase telling me to call United.

I call Chase a third time. A rep tells me that I will get the entire 5,000 PQMs when my United purchases total $5,000. No, I reply. I have already received some PQMs for United purchases, but not for others. Then, the rep tells me that I must have bought tickets on Singapore or some other Star Alliance airline that are not eligible for United PQMs. Nope. All the purchases were actual United-operated flights. She transfers me to a supervisor who assures me that "as a supervisor" he would get to the bottom of this problem. Yesterday I get a phone message from Chase telling me to call United.

BTW, I have called United about this problem (even though I know it's not within United's jurisdiction) and, of course, United tells me to call Chase. Any suggestions on what else I can do to chase down my Chase miles?

P.S. For those thinking that 5,000 PQMs are insignificant, I am a leisure traveller and the Chase 5,000 PQMs are essential for maintaining my 1K status.
I have this card as well, which channel did you purchase the tickets through? The PQM only post for United.com online purchases.

Yes, I am aware of the rules. I always purchase on United.com.

I'm also trying to chase down my $35K spend PQMs. I passed that in March and still don't have them. I've called Chase multiple times only to hear "they can take awhile to post" which I get, but it's now July!

I have that card too and miles are posting fine this year. You might try using Chase's online email/messaging system to ask the question. I've sometimes found that putting issues/questions in writing yields a more researched answer. You should probably mention that United has told you to contact Chase and that it is Chase's responsibility to make it happen. And if you get an unsatisfactory reply you can respond to it in writing to push it along.

Never call about these issues, the phone agents are generally clueless.

Use the secure messaging service online (from your Chase Account), works much better. The request is routed to a specialist.

That said, I have had no issues this year on timely posting of the PQMs

Agree 100%. In past years, I've messaged and gotten satisfaction much faster. I had time on my hands this year and was simply being masochistic in calling.

I'm in Chase PQM hell at the moment. Just read this thread, so will message Chase. But I need to get this off my chest, thanks for reading...

Bought a $5,500 business class ticket DEN-FRA-DEN back in January. PQM's for the purchase never posted.

I called United Mileage Plus back in May, I was told they would post only after I took the flight. That didn't sound right because I had received 252 PQM's for a DEN-SAN ticket I also purchased in January. But what the heck, I'll wait and see....

Flew DEN-FRA-DEN back in Mid July.

Credit card cycled in early August.

I GOT my 35k Spend PQM! But.... the united.com purchase from January for $5500 had not yet posted PQM.

I called United, after 10 minutes I was blind transferred to Chase (The united rep didn't introduce me). The Chase rep was very nice and after 15 minutes of research she told me that United was in charge of posting PQM's. She blind transferred me back to United.

United Rep comes on, asks me all the same questions I had already answered and told me after I informed him my Chase Signature got PQM's by reading the cardholder agreement to him. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me he could only transfer me to a chase supervisor. I asked if he would stay on the line with me, he agreed. Then the united rep BLIND transferred me back to Chase.

Guess what? I got the same Chase rep I had spoken to a half hour earlier. She remembered me! After 40 minutes I'm thinking this will be resolved! Chase rep puts me on hold. After another 10 minutes or so she told me she would email the Chase "Marketing Department" to get this resolved. I'm supposed to get a letter. After reading other posts I suspect the letter I get will tell me to call United.

I'll try secure email to chase per others recommendation.

Arggggggghhhhhh

I've had this Chase Signature card for at least the last 10 years and have never had a problem in the past with PQM.

Thanks for reading!

Allen

The Chase or UA phone agents don't have a clue and this is 100% Chase, UA has no way to influence this.
If has not posted within 2 months of the statement, secure email Chase

Error corrected. secure message is indeed the way to go

Thanks flyertalk posters. My issue with PQM's has been resolved. Next time I'll search flyertalk BEFORE making a phone call!

Received this from Chase today -

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the missing
Premier Qualifying Miles on your United MileagePlus Sig
III credit card account.

Allen, I would like to first apologize for the delay. I
contacted United directly on your behalf to review your
account. I did find that most of the January PQMs were
missing. I added directly with United 4748 PQMs to your
MileagePlus member account and they are immediately
available. This will bring the total PQMs to 5000 and
maximum allowed earned for the year. Once again, I
apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if we
can assist you further.

Thank you for being our customer and part of our family.
Please reach out to us anytime with any questions and or
concerns.
