Flowers?

Hi All,

My GF is in the UK, Im in Canada. She works central london. Want to send her flowers to her office. Anyone know of any reputable flower shops i can order some flowers from and have them delivered to her office? Either through the internet or a local shop that I can phone up in London?

Thanks for your assistance!

Wayne,
either of the following are reputable florist groups :

Teleflorist : www.teleflorist.co.uk

Interflora : www.interflora.co.uk

I've also had good results from iFlorist and Flying Flowers.

For online florists, always do a quick Google search for voucher codes - there seem to be loads floating about at any given time.

I have used all the following:

http://www.timothydunnflowers.co.uk/
http://www.paula-pryke-flowers.com/index.html
http://www.alexandralyons.co.uk/

The latter two both have outlets in the West End (Liberty's and John Lewis respectively) so should be able to turn round central deliveries very quickly.

Teleflorist / Interflora are just agents for a whole string of independent florists - while you'll definitely get something acceptable, you may not get something special.

I agree with Wingnut - if you can, find a local florist and book directly with them. You'll get a better deal on the flowers, hopefully one of their own designs and not one from the Interflora (or whoever) book. Also, the you save the network commission, so more flowers for your loonie!

Yet another vote for using a local florist: interflora is not the way to go.

When I lived in London, it took me a while to find a florist I was happy with, but I can 100% recommend Absolute Flowers in Maida Vale/ Little Venice. Number (still on my mobile after all those years!) is +44-207-286-1155. They are not cheap, but really wonderful, with a somewhat modernist, but still elegant, twist.

I'll second the vote for Flying Flowers. I have used them in the UK and Australia and the flowers last for ages. The UK branch are also great at delivering at certain times if needed - appreciated in my case due to an elderly aunt who only has a carer in at certain hours.
