Has anyone seen anything recently on this? All I found was buy 4 for the price of 3 (which seems to be ongoing, I have flagged down strangers at LHR in the past to have enough people to get the group discount). I thought with the Olympics over, they might have another Groupon or something more than the 10% off.

I've never seen a code for Heathrow Connect. Railcards ought to work, but that's about it.

Tube is about the same speed as Connect, esp as there are not many Connect services so you may have to wait a while. Unless you need to be at Paddington I am not sure why you'd bother, it is certainly not worth it if you will be paying for a tube ticket anyway on the same day.

The Connect is a good option if you're near Paddington, or coming from NW London (e.g. Bakerloo line), and want to save money. Its a more comfortable ride and less crowded than the tube. But yes, due to service being only every 30 minutes, from most parts of London it's not any quicker than taking the Piccadilly line unless you time it perfectly.

I like the Connect as a good, cheaper option to the Express. Both terminate at Paddington anyhow. Express is so crazy expensive (didn't someone say it is the most expesive train journey by mile travelled in the UK?) that I have been taking the Connect instead if I need to get nearer to Paddington. (unless, of couse, there is a tempting discount available on the Express)

promo code

Don't know why, but there is another thread on this:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...t-codes-6.html

And the promo code MNCA3P mentioned there seems to be working on both the ANA and ANZ sites, for a total of 19% discount.

Use the Tube on an Oyster Card - far far cheaper and often faster to many parts of central London
