The Ongoing Heathrow Express Promotional Fare Discussion

I can remember there was a special offer on Heathrow Connect during the summer maybe three years ago - no obscure promo code was required, I think it was half-price so long as one booked through their website. But that's it - I can't recall coming across any other special offers for Heathrow Connect in the past. In other words, it's not something that really ever gets discounted - any discounts offered will be for Heathrow Express, rather than Connect (both these train services are run by the same company, which is a subsidiary of the airport's operator, BAA).

You seriously think it makes 'sense' to pile onto the tube with 7 people, which presumaby includes a few kids, and heaven knows how many pieces of luggage?! If it peak time the train will be rammed within a few stops with commuters and it won't be pleasant.

Its tiny 5%, but better than nothing: https://www.heathrowexpress.com/ba
I live in SE1 and with 2 or more people, i find it usually makes more sense to take a car. about £40 vs. £34+tube+hassle
I use www.justairports.com. Great to know if there are cheaper options!

I can't help thinking that a mini-bus hire would not work out considerably more expensive than 7 tube tickets - and a good deal cheaper than the Connect.

http://www.airportonly.co.uk/ is often quite cheap.
Not the nicest cars (not even close, to be honest) but they were always very reliable when I used them.

15% off, valid for purchase until end of June (though seemingly with the standard HEx six-month validity from date of purchase):
www.heathrowexpress.com/JAL
I dare say there aren't going to be any big HEx discounts this summer...
