my wife and I will be in Belfast later this month, any reccomendations on lodging, restaurants and what to see would be appreciated. We are looking for a good hotel

I would recommend a visit to the Crown Bar. It's owned by the National Trust and was recently restored to its former glory. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main...nliquorsaloon/

The Crown Bar is a great place to visit and have a drink. The food we had was worse than awful! Maybe it was just the day but I would never recommend eating there.

I'll e-mail the oldest who live in NI and see what he recommends. He fancies himself a bit of a foodie. Do the double decker tourist bus. It was really good especially since we had a catholic giving the narration and took the protestant mother-in-law. Best fun we had all year!:D

I think you main issue is likely to be price. The Malmaison is a lovely property, and would be my preference but can be expensive. I have stayed at the Jury's Inn which was acceptable. There's also a nice Radisson and a couple of boutique places.

If you can, get yourself up the Antrim coast for a few hours. It's gorgeous.

My favourite hotels in order of preference...

1) The Merchant
2) Malmaison
3) Ten Square
4) Radisson
