Thanks everyone for all your help, in the end I have moved things around so I can be there at arrival time.

Thamks particularly to those offering their spare passes.

In discusions have found that among other travel novelties, she has never been on a train :eek: How on earth can you get to age 20, live in Vancouver city, and never have been on a train ..........

I would spend a few quid on a prepaid sim, activate it, and then mail it to her for insertion into her unlocked GSM phone. Then she could call anyone, and you could call her, too. Well worth the £10 plus postage. Or I could loan her mine, but it needs to be topped off (could be done near the coffee shop upstairs in T3).
