I hope it was a one off. Likely it be passing through regularly and was impressed with much of the terminal. KL won’t allow checked bags via Aether either!

Aether now have a service where they pick you up from the terminal after you drop your bags off at check-in. Depending on how early you can check your bags, this may be an option. Not cheap however... :)
