Parking outside the ULEZ zone

Hi,

I was hoping to visit Heathrow briefly on Sat to see some people off. I’m not travelling so no luggage to worry about. Is there anywhere nearby (Colnbrook?) that I can park maybe on street for free and take a local bus to LHR T3?

My old go-to areas are now inside the ULEZ zone, annoyingly enough.

Thanks!

Plenty of Uber taxis seem to park up in the area between the Punchbowl Pub and the Hilton T5 on Poyle Road, it's not a residential street. By the Punchbowl there is the 81 bus towards Hounslow (you would have to change again for T3) or the 5 towards T5. No guarantees as to the wisdom or otherwise of this, I would imagine there would be better public transport options open to you than this, depending on where you are starting from.

Plenty of street parking and quick buses nearby from Staines 'upon-Thames'

The village of Stanwell appears to be outside the ULEZ and has plenty of free parking, you will only be there for 2 hours so doesn't matter if it's outside someone's house. It is walkable to T4, or TfL bus 203 to Hatton Cross + free onward bus / free tube, or bus 555 to Heathrow Central, non-TfL so £2 (soon £3) and only hourly.

Thanks all for the tips! Ended up parking near Stanwell - had forgot there was a small "dip" in the zone around there. A bit of a drag getting to Heathrow with the slow/circuitous buses, but good enough for a quick visit.
