Northern Ireland has as of today given up reporting cases, deaths and testing which means that headline figures for the UK are no longer available. Scotland and Wales have not reported daily for some time now which only leaves England reporting and even that is Monday-Friday now. Here is what I have:
England cases 6,003 (6,511 last Friday)
England deaths 80 (141)
Patients admitted 627 (747 on the 8th)
Patients in hospital 6,729 (8,474 on the 10th)
Patients in ventilation beds 191 (191 on the 10th)
Vaccinated up to and including 11 May 2022:
First dose: 53,337,395
Second dose: 49,844,562
Booster: 39,474,656
Today's weekly data from the ONS survey. In the week ending 13 May 2022:
One in 55 people in England had Covid (down from one in 45)
One in 40 in Wales had Covid (down from one in 35)
One in 60 in Northern Ireland had Covid (down from one in 55)
One in 45 in Scotland had Covid (down from one in 35)

Here is today's release from the ONS. It is generally good though Scotland is having a little wobble:
In the week ending 21 May 2022:
One in 60 people in England had Covid (down from one in 55)
One in 55 in Wales had Covid (down from one in 40)
One in 80 in Northern Ireland had Covid (down from one in 60)
One in 40 in Scotland had Covid (up from one in 45)
The other dataset is running a bit late today.

Just as an aside, I took my mother to get her spring booster the other day at a walk-in, and it was as quiet as anything (2 other people). As she had Moderna she was in and out before I had barely sat down and made myself comfortable, let alone see what the internet was up to!

You're doing a good job here! Sometimes a "like" doesn't seem enough!

I wouldn't have minded a second booster, tested positive a day after arriving in the US (so likely caught COVID in the UK but not enough to show up on the required supervised antigen pre departure test) and have been feeling pretty damn rough for the last 4 days. Can't wait for it to move on..

People aged 75 and over, older adult care home residents and those who are immunosuppressed have been able to get their spring booster since 21 March. Alongside more than 3 million invites, over 712,000 reminders have been sent by the NHS to those who are eligible for their spring booster.

She falls into the >75 category:
a spring booster for people aged 75 and over, people who live in a care home for older people, or people aged 12 and over who have a weakened immune system

Pain, isn't it. I was getting to the point when everyone I knew but me had got Covid that perhaps I had some sort of natural immunity. Then I got it in March after a ski trip to France, which included a couple days in a bar watching the six nations. I was three months from my third dose. Luckily it wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. Felt really tired, any sort of physical activity (even very easy activity like a casual walk) caused me to sweat like a pig and my heart raced. One week until symptoms went away. Three weeks until physical fitness was back to normal.
As an over 50, but not over 65, I'm figuring I'll get a Covid / Flu shot in the autumn/winter, whether that's a combined shot or two jabs to be seen.
