Best Hotel at LHR?

Posting in BA because I feel itís more transit related than anything ó
evening flight landing at LHR at 8pm, and then leaving next day at 1pm (Both T5)

so itís not the absolute end of the world if I donít stay at T5, but not enough time to go into city.

the whole line of hotels and the hoppa bus production isnít too horrible if itís worth it but also donít mind staying nearby in the terminal (Sofitel or...?)

what would be your stay of choice?
priorities being
1. better hotel / amenities
2. convenience
3. food options in and around

What time do you want to be in the lounge at T5?

You wonít beat the Sofitel for pure convenience, depends on your budget though.

I often stay at Premier Inn T4 (connected via walkway to terminal) and get the train or bus to T5.

havenít tried the room service options though

Iím not crazy about the lounge at T5 I suppose I can go earlier and sneak into t3 for some dim sum
(btw does anyone remember the link to the one thread explaining if you can access t3 security without flagging ďready to flyĒ status with a T5 BP?)

Not sure it's worth the faff - or even possible - for some dim sum

You canít go in to T3 from landside without a T3 bp.

In terms of hotel recommendations there are quite a few threads on the UK board with suggestions based on your budget and desire for convenience - sorry I am on my phone so itís a bit difficult to link to but do have a look.

There are no luxury hotels at LHR...

If you want something new and cheaper than the Sofitel (a lot cheaper) the HIX and CP (in the same building) at T4 are very decent and modern both with runway view rooms if that's of any interest.

As for accessing T3 airside, as already mentioned, it's a no no.

Sofitel - so convenient and good quality, although obviously can get very busy

I've stayed at many Heathrow hotels over the years and by far the most comfortable bed, in my opinion, is at the T4 Premier Inn. Getting there is easy - 15 mins from T5 on the frequent and free bus - and it can cost as little as £50.

As has been said, this really is an airport issue - particularly given the reticence to use the Sofitel - and much better suited to the UK & Ireland forum for more widespread advice.

We’ll move it over there where it may well get merged with one of the myriad of other threads on the subject.

Don't get off the bus at T4 and walk the walkway - stay on to the next stop and get off right outside the Premier. Same going back, the bus stop the opposite way is only 50 yards from the hotel, but out of the hotel and turn right.

I got 3 nights there in Feb/March for just 29 quid a night.

Throw on 12 pound a day for travel on TfL rail or the tube in to London, and it's a pretty compelling place to stay for a short trip to London, IMO
