They were. They're all gone from the London routes now, although a few of them have been kept for Westcountry mainline services. Their doors are being replaced.

And there's the Night Riviera, of course...

Scotrail have a couple of slam door HSTs (ex GWR). They'll be converted to power door operation soon.
Also Caledonian Sleeper trains are slam door - for a few more months until the new carriages are introduced.
