E-Passport Gates for US Passport Holders

According to this https://www.lexology.com/library/det...e-b97559ef3845 article it says starting March 11th 2019, US Passport holders will be able to use the E-Passport Gates.

But then https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles...-control#toc-0 doesn't mention anything on it aside from becoming a registered traveller.

Can anyone speak to the E-Passport gates being open as of yet for US Passport holders?

The page is very wrong! June is the launch as per the government.
