Another minimum connection time at LHR thread..
With apologies for the interruption, I'm likely going to be flying into LHR on Virgin Atlantic (maybe upper class, maybe not) and connecting on to a BA flight to Doha.
The incoming flight is from the US, so it lands early in the morning - 6:30 or 8am, and the next flight is at 10:40AM on British Air. How long will I need for the connection to be on the safe side? Thanks! |

Though timings will depend on of this is all on one ticket or two separate ones and hence the need to collect luggage |
Timings will also vary between 1 and 2 tickets, as if you're on 2 tickets changing from Virgin Atlantic to BA, then BA are likely to tell you to buy a new ticket if Virgin get you into Heathrow too late for the onward flight. Unless your travel insurance will cover that, you'd either want to allow plenty of time in case of delays, or book the USA-UK leg with BA or AA so you'll have more protections in case of delay on the first leg

Can you do a VS-BA connection?

Yes of course you can. People do it all the time. Many Ex-Europe flights start with a BA from AMS or DUB and feed to VS flights. The issue for the OP is are their flights on one ticket or two. The former the bags will be interlined on the latter they likely won't be. |
