OP here - and it's time to renew car insurance on car #2 in the household, and blow me down if I once again can't remember who it's with...

Perhaps... print out the insurance certificate and put it in the car? If they don't post it to you they should email a copy of the certificate; my insurance is this way so I print that out and have it in the car just in case I need it. Just a thought!

Don't they write to you telling you how wonderful they are and have much they love you by increasing the rate.

I had this issue and downloaded Brolly which just finds all your insurance policies in your email account.
