transiting through LHR T5

Hi everyone,

I'll be transiting through LHR (from KWI-TXL and then to DXB), and I'm wondering if the immigration chaos and long queues will transfer transfer passengers at all?

Any help will be appreciated.

thanks

Hi faris1986,

Welcome to flyertalk!^

I assume you are on BA KWI-LHR-TXL and do not have to change airlines.

The longer queues reported are for border entry I believe with flight connection queues not being too bad. ( I did LAX-LHR-EDI on monday with a minimal wait)

Regards

TBS

As you do not clear immigration when transiting LHR (unless travelling onward to a UK/Ireland/Channel Island destination when you did not originate from any of those places), you will be largely unaffected by the recent issues at LHR.

I say largely because if the immigration queue goes back further than where the route to flight connections diverges, you might get caught up in it.
