Tough to reach TWA by phone

My experience this week (Weds and today) trying to reach TWA by telephone:

Call the 800 number, listen to recordo-junk about FAA regulations about carry-ons and the TWA web site (which cannot handle my request), press 2 to speak to an agent, then get told by a soothing recorded voice that they're too busy, call back later, goodbye, click. I got through to an agent -- and of course that means get through to an agent after a 10-30 min. hold -- on 2 of ~30 calls. (According to both the AA Platinum desk and TWA, AA PLTs have access only to the regular 800 number.)

AMR Corp. might be bleeding money, but they're not going to get themselves right by making it extremely difficult for potential customers to do business with them.
