And so... is Uncle Carl peeved?
For quite awhile now, I've noticed that lowestfare.com is no longer selling TWA tkts at 25% off the published fares. I also read that LFDC's Seattle office has closed and some 300 people lost their jobs. So how's Uncle Carl re-positioning himself in light of the acquisition? What kind of loss has he sustained (if any) and where does he go from here?
Do you reckin he's peeved? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Possibly, but it may well just prove to be a write off agianst other future earnings and thus he'll recoup quite a bit in future tax savings! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

Can't say but...
Financier Carl Icahn offered on Friday to purchase VISX Inc. (EYE.N) in a cash deal valued at more than $1.84 billion, raising the stakes in his ongoing fight to force the laser eye correction equipment maker into a merger.
