Redeye to NYC
 

OK - so I am flying on the redeye flight from Seattle through St. Louis to NYC. I want to get bumped? Are the redeyes usually full? Should I bother getting to the airport early to put my name on the bump list?

I haven't flown that flight in a while, but the loads out of Seattle are very full, so you may have luck. However, now that TWA is flying out of the South Satellite, more people are missing flights by not allowing an extra 10-15 minutes to get a train to take them to the South Satellite or general lollygagging. Standbys who are really standing by the gate may get on because so a percentage of folks don't make the cutoff and they might not need your bump.
