System unavailable - how to register for promo

System unavailable - thats the msg I've been getting for the past 4 days when trying to register my mom's Aviator FF number for a promotion. Is there any 1-800 number I can call and register ?

Thanks for any info http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Ohh by the way .. My mom jumped from DL to TWA http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
Why ?
She usually flies to CLE, ORD, PBI, and JFK
Comparing RT prices between DL and TWA on this routs we get aprox :

LIT-CLE TW: $109.00 DL: $261.00
LIT-ORD TW: $136.00 DL: $184.00
LIT-PBI TW: $184.00 DL: $241.00
LIT-JFK TW: $288.00 DL: $354.00

I get all TW's prices using http://www.lowestfare.com which everyone probably knows.
Hmmm .. No wonder she doesn't wanna stick with DL .. Ohh well

If she is going to fly the same amount of roundtrips as she does this year BUT ON ONE AIRLINE http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif she will get Elite status easily.

Could anyone tell me what benefits TW's Elite status brings ?

Thanks

If your mom flies enough to get Elite status she won't ever look back. Upgrades are unlimited based on availability with no restrictions based on fare code purchased. That means that those nice discounted lowestfare.com fares count.

In the time I've been an Elite-level with TWA I've been upgraded every single time (around 16 flights now). For upgrades, Hawaii and the Caribbean are considered domestic. Pretty awesome. Nothing like flying from JFK to SJU in first class for $186.

I've connected from time to time at Delta's hub in CVG and don't see any advantage to it over STL. Though other frequent flyers may more intelligently debate that one than me.

By the way, I don't know what number to call. Try the general Aviators service center number.

Thanks tfjim

You trying to change my mind too, aren't you ? http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

That unlimited upgrades on any fare ( even on "L" http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif ) look VERY NICE.
But since I travel to Europe at least twice a year ( that is aprox 20'000 miles, plus my elite status bonus ), I dont think I'll change my mind.

Damian: I just pulled up a thread for another subject ( http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/Foru...ML/000060.html ) and read the following post by jimquan:

You can get TWA Elite in other ways too.
I signed up for Thrifty "Blue Chip" Service by printing the app from their website and faxing it in. After my first rental with them, I got an unsolicited TWA Aviators membership and then was comp'ed Elite status courtesy of Thrifty. Can't say if they're still doing this or if they will do it on demand. Couldn't hurt to ask.

===now, if your Mom signs up at Thrifty, makes one rental, then it is possible (if the promotion is still valid) that she will receive a Elite-level card as part of the deal. That means Mom, without taking a TWA flight, will be elligible for a FC upgrade on her very next TWA flight.

Hmmm... looks like if you can pull this off, you're gonna move up in Mom's "Favorite Person List" quickly.

TWA Phone numbers you can use are 800-221-2000 (main reservation line) or 800-892-3321 (Aviator service center).

Good luck.

Thanks Mischief

I registered my mom's Aviator# last night on TW's website, but few hours later when I was trying to register my girlfriend's #, it didn't work again http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I'll try to call them up and register over the phone.
