International Connection at IST

I am flying TLV->JFK, connecting at IST July 12.
The first leg of my flight was rescheduled leaving me with a 1 hour connection.
What should I expect?
Do I need to go through a transit desk or just walk to the gate of my connecting flight?

Please advice

It depends if they give you the boarding pass for the 2nd flight when you check in. If so, then head to the gate; if not, go to the transit desk to get your next boarding pass.

Thanks,

I assume we will get the boarding cards in TLV (Both flights are operated by THY).

You are correct as THY will give you two boarding passes in TLV. You will just go to your connecting flight as one hour is enough time at IST.

not always, flights to the US and Israel require a special screening before heading upstairs to the Transit area (Departure Level). Then at the gate area there is a reg check, followed with Everyone having their carry-ons rechecked by a person going thru it. at times the lines dont move too fast if at all at both locations

Additional points

When we flew last month, we were not given our connecting boarding passes. This was probably because we originated in N. Cyprus (ECN). We were flying to IST and had a late connection onto FRA. Both flights were on TK - however were only given the 1st boarding pass and had to collect the next one at the transit desk.

Connecting at IST is very easy and really doable in an hour.

Flying AMM-IST (THY) FRA (LH). What is the likelihood of getting the LH boarding pass in AMM when checking in with THY?
