TK 777 business class for solo traveler
I am struggling with the classic challenge of TK 777 business class for solo traveler. My route is CUN-IST.
I have read that 777 business class cabins are usually only half full. In that case, I think a J seat would be good, hoping nobody will sit in K.
If the flight is close to full, a G seat might be better because you either get an empty seat in E or a couple in D and E and E will probably jump over D, instead of a stranger (me) to get out.
Finally, is the main cabin (rows 2 -3) or the mini cabin (row 6) better for sleeping?
Thank you!

Maybe you are overthinking this ?
Just take an aisle seat. If indeed not full you ask if you can move to another seat onboard after boarding completed, if you prefer to change.
I doubt there is any difference between sleeping in the front cabin or mini cabin in the rear (I have only been seated in the front cabin).

My personal preference is to take any D seat.

D or G.
Either the middle seat will be empty or a couple will be sitting in the other two seats, in which case the person in the middle will usually step over their partner if necessary.

First time flying Turkish and their 777. Is it fairly easy to move over someone if needed? I really enjoy the window, but head to the restroom more than average.
Im flying solo this trip. Its been a while since Ive flown in this kind of business with my wife, and I cant remember how easy or hard it was to climb over with inconveniencing the seat mate. I have zero problems with mobility and am light to average build.

That should be no problem in your situation. I have done it in the past from the window seat. Long legs will be an advantage.

It's also worth noting that, in case your dates are flexible, for the IST-MEX-CUN-IST route, TK alternates between 77W and 789. Given the enormous difference between these products, my personal preference is always to try to play with the dates (head over a day earlier / back a day later) and secure a far superior product, especially considering the very long (16+ hrs including MEX stopover) flight time.

I'm not sure all in this forum will agree that the A359 or B789 has a "far superior product" compared to the B77W.
Given the uncertainty about equipment changes with TK I would never base my choice of flight/travel date on a specific aircraft; then there is a significant risk that you will then end up disappointed.

But as you say, even if you have a strong preference, you're wasting your time trying to ensure one aircraft type or another.

Having recently flown on each aircraft, I much, much prefer the seats on the B789, since I am a windows person. I was in a A seat on the B77W; it was a hassle having to hurdle over my seatmate every time I needed to go to the bathroom or to access my carry on luggage. While theres always the prospect of an equipment swap, I will try to find a flight that has the B789 scheduled.

Data point:
I am a 180 cm bloke - no problem to jump over another person.
BTW - there is a new lounge in CUN - it is not Air Transat any longe. It is Mera Lounge in the basement next to gate 60'sh (it was closed during COVID - now reopened). A very nice lounge...

For anybody who has a strong preference for a specific seat, I would try to set my schedule for a specific a/c. Even with occasional a/c swap, theres less chance of disappointment with this scheme than going knowingly with an a/c that is anyway going to disappoint you.
