I was reading numerous thread that if TK ticket is issued by UA, you don't get any free checked baggage allowance.

I started to book an economy ticket only for verification purpose and able to retrieve my booking from TK. I saw following baggage allowance. I wonder does it mean I have 2 free checked baggage allowance? I never fly TK before so I am not sure what we suppose to see

But Sir/Mme, you are not looking at a UA issued ticket. You are making a dummy booking on the TK website for a TK issued ticket, which is different from a UA issued ticket. You can't use the info on the TK website to anything when you are inquiring about a UA issued ticket.

To avoid your doubts and any issues, I suggest you book with TK rather than UA. Why do you want to book ORD-ISD-ADD with UA? - when UA is not operating any of the flights. Do yourself a favor and book with the carrier your are flying with. It will also be much easier in case you have schedule changes or cancellations to your flights.

EDIT: I see now that apparently you have actually retrieved your UA reservation on the TK website? Did you enter the TK PNR (is different from the UA PNR) on the TK website and you see that you have 2 pcs checked luggage? If correct, I don't see any reason why you should doubt the info provided to you on the TK website and you are unlikley to face any issues at check-in because the check-in agents will see the same about your checked luggage allowance as you do in the TK website.

I am booking TK using UA mile because I don�t have enough TK miles. The ticket numbe is 016, which is issued by UA but for partner award flight. from the UA confirmation, it says that baggage allowance is determined by turkish airline.

Yes, UA provided TK reservation confirmation code. so I am able to manage my booking on TK website.

Yes. You are good to go. Previously, a reservation such as yours would show zero baggage allowance on TK website. Yours shows an allowance of 2 and this is what you�ll get.

OP�s ticket is an award ticket. UA doesn�t sell revenue tickets by TK.

OP - How exactly did you accomplish that ("that" being logging in and seeing those details)? I ask because I currently have flights on TK booked with United miles. I have the TK confirmation number (I also have the United confirmation number but that's not really useful for anything when dealing with TK), I also have the TK e-Ticket number (016XXXXXXXXX). Whenever I try to access my flights using these details, TK's website and mobile app usually just barfs up an error message.

OP, can you please provide the details of how you are able to access their system? Are you using a mobile device (phone? iPhone or Android?), or a computer(what kind of computer Mac or Windows? what browser?). I know this sounds silly, but none of TK's online systems (mobile app on a phone, browser on a desktop computer, manage your booking etc.) seem to work for me, no matter what combination of numbers I throw at it, no matter what technology I use to try. The only way to get basic details confirmed is to call them and ask an agent, and they often just say they can't answer questions (like, what's my baggage allowance...they say I should ask United...big help there).

Use App. Website does not support 016, if you use app then you can see your booking. I user iPhone app, provide your TK reservation number, then they ask you to provide ticket number and name. I am able to retrieve my flight and check baggage allowance and select seats.
