Hi there,
I'm on TK 1888 this evening, leaving VIE at 19:55. I just learned that TK uses terminal 1 (unlike most of Star Alliance). There is an OS lounge there, but it's only open until 16:00. I couldn't find any other TK-contracted lounge on Star Alliance lounge finder.

Does that mean that C/*G pax on that flight don't really get a lounge access (unless they're willing to do two bus transfers to/from G-gates)?

Only asking out of curiosity, I get access to the Vienna Lounge (which is excellent) through my CC, but it really surprised me.

The only *A lounge in T1 is the OS lounge.
OS has some sporadic night flights to Asia, but haven't been there late at night for a while, so I would guess it is all about which day you are flying in regards to opening hours.

On a second note TK offers alternative lounge access in YUL as the AC's Maple leaf lounge closes long before their departure. Could be the same case here and you will end up in the Vienna lounge anyway

OS departs from terminal 3 (F/G gates) where they have a non-Schengen lounge open until 23. But that requires a bus transfer. They also operate a lounge at D gates (T1) but that's only for partner airlines, so there's no relation to their own flights. I imagine they close it before there aren't that many partner flights out of T1 at that time, but it's still surprising since TK operates 787 on the evening rotation so there should be quite a few pax for the lounge. Of course lounge hours are not something in TK's control but I'd expect them to contract the Vienna Lounge - which they maybe do, but it's not published in the lounge finder (maybe because it's limited to the evening flight?).

Years ago, when TK had those late BRU flights, SN stayed open just for that.

These days there isn�t even an SN lounge there 😅.

For the current past midnight TK departure CPH-IST (TK1788) there is no lounge. SAS lounge will close at 11 PM as normal.

Just a follow up on this, I got a message from TK's Vienna staff here on FT that informed me that they indeed contract an airport lounge. This is now also reflected in Star Alliance lounge finder (it doesn't say it's the Vienna Lounge, just an "airport lounge", but it has to be since there's no other airport lounge in that terminal).

So a) there is a lounge provision for the evening flight, b) I'm pretty damn impressed by TK reacting to this
