Premium economy on TK?

TK617 IST-CMN today operated with a 350-900. My ticket bought as regular eco but to my pleasant surprise, my seat 8D is some from of premium seat. Rows 8-10 in 2-4-2 configuration. I thought TK had discontinued its Comfort Class?

You must have been on one of the planes that were headed for Aeroflot that they bought.

I suspect they'll be reconfigured eventually.

I agree. The seat pic indicates that the aircraft was one of the Aeroflot aircrafts TK has taken over. I was lucky enough to try it on the IST-TAS run last year in C/J; a pleasant surprise.

I doubt that the C/J cabin will be replaced/reconfigured until it is time to update or replace the seats due to wear & tear. The premium economy seats may disappear earlier.

Thank you, both. When I asked one of the FAs, I was told this was a new configuration but I guess he wasnt as well informed as you :-) In some ways, I found those premium eco seats more comfortable than TK narrow body J class.

most of the time, they either aren't as well-informed, or don't want to bother explaining the whole background story. I'm not surprised that they're more comfortable than the narrow-body J - the W seats are newer and have more seat amenities and functions, in general...
