Reimbursement of luggage repair costs?
Corner/wheel of my Rimowa Topas check-in bag (EUR 1000+) was damaged on a recent TK flight. Damaged report issued by TK bagage service with instructions to contact customer service via an online form.
It’’s not a case of total damage as the bag can probably be repaired by Rimowa - does anyone have experience/know what will happen if I contact TK in this case? I could also use my private insurance…

Thank you for sharing. The warranty on my bag has experienced so repair costs might be a bit steep. I was hoping someone had experience with TK in a similar case.

The RIMOWA store in Barcelona was very helpful and replaced the broken parts in 3 days for EUR 68. I have uploaded the receipt to my file with TK and requested reimbursement.

Update: After evaluating the claim, TK confirmed they will cover the repair costs and have asked for my bank details (swift and IBAN).
