TK 812 had wrong scheduled arrival time for a while?
 

We bought our ticket many months ago to fly tomorrow 10/27 YYZ-IST-AMM. The second day is on 10/28 IST-AMM, TK812, leaving IST at 20:55. All these months TK told us the arrival to Amman is 22:10.

Only a few days ago 10/21 did TK email us of flight time change. Everything else is the same but arrival time to AMM is 23:10. When I contacted our driver in Amman, and asked if there is time change and TK didn't account for that before. He said this year Jordan did not change the time.

So for many months TK had told us the wrong arrival time?

LH/OS did the same thing last weekend. Adjusted arrival times AMM by 1 hour for W22; most likely a general system issue.

Look at it the positive way: Now you have the possibility to rebook the ticket both in terms of dates and origin and destination (within same region) if needed. I just love TK schedule changes/cancellations for the same reasons...

I cannot do any change though. See my other thread about not able to do OLCI, and not able to do any change.

For any rebooking you need to call TK or even better, contact your local TK ticket office for assistance.

So we got on the IST-AMM flight fine. When on the flight, the flight into display showed the time in Amman as one hour earlier than IST, while Amman time is actually the same as IST. At least TK did inform us of the "operation change", of the corrected arrival time (of 23:10 instead of 22:10) just a few days before actual flight.

Separately, if anyone googles Jordan or Amman time, it shows something weird, something 5 hours off.

After spending a few days in Jordan I found out about the reason for the mysterious 1 hour schedule change notified a few weeks ago by TK, LH, OS etc (I guess all airlines flying to Jordan).

The Jordanian government decided on 5 Oct. that Jordan would keep daylight savings time/summer time, i.e. not adjust the time 1 hour on 28 Oct. 2022 (like European/neighbouring countries).
Results: from 28 Oct. flights would arrive and depart 1 hour later than originally scheduled by the airlines; hence the scheduled chance/retimed flights notified to pax (which worked out great for me as it allowed me to (invol) change my flights into much more expensive travel dates).
