Honestly I don't know. What I can say is that many times the agent was saying something like "I'll have to see if I can force this to open" or "Let's see if I am able to book this for you" and then she would put me on hold while getting a supervisor... That's all I can say.. What that means, I have no clue.

Turkish just cancelled one of my flights, went into the app and it took me 5 minutes to rebook free of charge. The app even allowed me to change the non affected leg to a more convenient flight which was way more expensive at the time of the original booking.

@ patvd: The difference is that your ticket was revenue ticket booked with TK; hence straight forward to rebook. The OP has an AC award ticket which makes rebooking much more complicated. The OP wouldn't be able to rebook the ticket in the TK app; TK would not even touch the booking as it is an award issued by others than TK.

I quoted Alfredbali who had problems trying to make changes over the phone on a 100% Turkish ticket.
Useless for the OP and a bit of topic but hopefully helpful for people like Alfred..

Very interesting and good to hear. I usually book my Star Alliance tickets through ANA as they have low redemption costs and have good customer service, but I might look into AC more if they are willing to do this. Thanks and glad to hear you got it sorted out!

My tickets were TK award tickets, believe me there was no way to process any rebooking online, was instructed by the app and website to call customer service instead.
