Mileage earning check, please

I'm looking to book AMS-IST-CUN next year to get the 25k miles needed to keep Elite status with TK. However, the booking engine shows only 7863 miles each direction instead of 12k+ based on the accrual chart and the TK miles calculator.
I guess it's a mistake from the search/booking engine, and the correct amount is the one shown by the TK miles calculator, right?

The information about mileage accrual provided when making the reservation is not accurate in my experience.

Double check your fair class to make sure you're earning 100% miles as well.

I forgot to mention it's a business class booking.

If you mean the miles that you can see when opening "fare rules" during booking I can confirm they are totally unreliable, during my recent trip CGK-MXP return in J, I got 22110 status miles as now I'm Classic Plus member, while the booking page report a total of 13820

Fare or booking class and class of service are not the same thing. Some cases (i.e., using miles to upgrade) will result in less than 100% mileage accrual despite traveling up front.

Yes, those exactly.

No, but every business class booking fare have an accrual percentage well over 100%.
Upgrades with miles are entirely another, different matter.
