Up to 75% more miles promo

Anyone aware of this? Loyalty Lobby posted about it but I don't see anything on TKs website.

I click the link but it takes me to the home page only. Is there a special purchase page that also shows the bonus amount? Or shall we just buy from the regular miles transaction page and trust the additional miles will be posted automatically?

Unfortunately, you need to calculate the amount of the bonus amount by yourself.
You would need to purchase miles at the regular "Mileage Transactions" tab and wait up to February 28 for the miles to be posted.

It appears the best deal works out to just about $0.03 per mile. This would have been good when combined with the redemption discount deal at the end of December last year, but I'm not sure it's such a good deal now unless you were going to buy miles anyway.

(Sorry all! I didn't see that the miles are posted after the fact, and not at the time of purchase. Thanks for the info - this might be a good deal after all!)

(I'm not an expert on the TK programme, so if anyone has info indicating this really is a good deal, please let me know!)
I haven't double-checked your maths, but it could be a good deal for a long-haul J award, especially on a no surcharge *A partner.

However, you can regularly buy Marriott points during a promo for 0.83 cents. Buy 60k for $500 and you can convert those into 25k TK miles --> 2 cents per mile.

I don't think your math is correct. $0.03/mile is the normal price for TK miles.

With the promo, it is $0.024/mile for 5,000 – 19,999 miles; $0.02/mile for 20,000 – 49,999 miles; $0.017/mile for 50,000 – 99,999 miles.

The current promo for Bonvoy is 40% bonus. So for $1,250 you get 100,000 + 40,000 = 140,000 pts = 2 x 25,000 + 10,000 = 60,000 miles (i.e. 2.08 cents per mile). To get approximately the same number of miles with the TK promo you can get 41,000 + 20,500 = 61,000 miles (i.e. 2.02 cents per mile). However, to maximize your savings you should buy 50,000 and higher. For example, 50,000 + 37,500 = 87,500 miles for $1,500 which will cost 1.71 cents per mile, not 3.

Bonvoy is normally limited to 50K pts/yr but for this promo period, they have upped it to 100K pts/yr. So with the bonus, you max out at 60,000 Turkish miles at 2.08 cents per mile.

TK is normally limited to 50K miles/yr but for this promo period, they have upped it to 100K miles/yr. So with the bonus, you max out at 173,250 Turkish miles at 1.71 cents per mile.

It's a good deal for me since my most common route is DXB-IST (and onwards to Europe or just IST) which I would have to pay for in cash if I don't have sufficient miles. Even if I start with zero miles (which I don't) and buy all the miles in TK's normal rate of 3 cents per mile, I'm usually ahead. With this promo, I'm way ahead. I usually end up doing a mix (use some of my own miles, buy some extra miles).

Once you provide your Marriott details, it may well jump up to 50%. YMMV...

Didn’t have to...somehow got an email with the 50% bonus just now as I was reading the notification about your reply. Magic.
